Roos have black blotches

My roos have black blotches on their combs. At first, I tho't they were scabs (I had a bleeder the other morning), but now am not so sure. Then, I tho't they were dirt, but they won't wipe off.

Any ideas?

I should mention that it has been CRAZY hot here for the last few days.

Without pics its hard to tell....but are these roos together?? You said you had a "bleeder" the other day...is there a chance they are fighting maybe when you are not seeing it? I would watch for signs of fighting....sounds like that might be it.
