This first one you can see why it is a misfit, but isnt "she" pretty? I love this chick. Shell sit on your shoulder, and your finger like a cockatiel. Shes so fun. Im hoping big time shes a she... I dont wanna have to get rid of her. Im so in love

Umm can someone tell me why no one wants to give an opinion? Are the pics bad? To young of birds? Do I smell?

Thank you for your opinions chicks r friends.

She was born that way, but does very well. Shes a big fat girl lol. The breeder gave her to us cause he liked her but couldnt sell her like that. And I say her, cause its wishful thinking lol

I think the EEs are hens. The barred rock is a male (and he wont get feathers on his face like the EEs do). As for the one with the game hen, I am not sure what it is. If that hen is truly the mother, it looks to be a game cross of some sort.

As for the first picture, it has cross-beak. It is just a deformality. Usually they aren't able to eat as they should, so they tend to slowly decline in health. But this bird has made it to at least juevinile feathers, so it has to be doing ok.

The Americana looks like a pullet to me. The Barred Rock comb is about the size of my full grown hens, so I am thinking roo, but keep an eye out for if the tail starts to curl, as that is another sign of a rooster.

Very cute little mutts. I have lots of them and they are my favorites. You never know what is going to hatch out of those eggs, while with a RIR you just know the chick is going to be redish.

Your hen looks like an OEGB cross, or maybe a Jap as I can't really see her all the way.

Good luck with your birds. I had a crossed beak chicken this year, and ended up selling her so that her bloodlines wouldn't get into my flock. I hope she got a home as nice as yours.

So you think 1 is a hen? Yeah I kept her caged up for a bit to make sure she could eat well enough to do ok. Shes qctually quite the pig when it comes to food. I let her get a bit of size and let her out with everyone else and she grows rather quickly, so I figured Id let her be.

I dont think the hen is the mother, mom usually lays small bantam eggs, and that chick didnt come out of one of those.

I sure hope shes a pullet. I kind of thought the BR was a roo.

Sorry Im new to chickens what is OEGB?

Thank you. We just do all this for fun, so I dont mind her beak. We didnt even plan to have chicks til the hens just started having them. LOL Kind of hard to keep up with whats just laid and whats not, so we ended up letting them have alot of the eggs cause we were afraid they been sitting on em awhile, and the chicks have become alot of fun. Just dont know what to do with all the roos.

Sorry, OEGB (Old English Game Bantam) http://www.feathersite.com/Poultry/Games/GameBantams/BRKOEGBantams.html

I
love these little guys, they are so tiny with such large personalities. They are also great mothers. They come in many different colors as well.

Japs http://www.feathersite.com/Poultry/CGD/Japs/BRKJap.html

I
never had one, but they are also smaller with a nice full tail.

It may help you keep track of the eggs, if you put an X on all the fertile eggs that you want to hatch. Then you can go under the hen and grab all the eggs without an X as they should have been laid that day. This will help prevent the hen from getting overloaded with eggs to.

And for the roosters they make good dinners, but I understand if you don't want to do that. You could try to sell them (I always sell mine for 5 dollars, otherwise it would be more affordable to eat them), and bantams I tend to just give away, unless they are well bred.
