This flock is about to transition outside as soon as the coop is finished, but I’ve been hearing crowing coming from our brooder. I haven’t been able to catch the culprit in the act, but these two chicks are suspect. Are they both Roos? One was labeled an australorp pullet at TSC, the other is a gold laced Wyandotte. It was difficult to get good pictures. They’re between 7 and 8 weeks old. The black one took FOREVER to feather out.

I wouldn't put any faith at all in the labels or the employees. That goes for all farm stores. Know what you're looking for when you go in. That way you know what you're looking at when you're there.
Oh yeah, live and learn. This is our first year with chickens. We set out to get brahmas, australorps and Wyandottes, so we were 2/3rds successful. However, this lady was labeled an australorp, and she looks nothing like an australorp 🤷🏼‍♀️
