1) Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens? On Father’s Day of this year!
(2) How many chickens do you have right now? 6 but I want 2 silkies
(3) What breeds do you have? Mostly a mystery flock. 1 buff Orpington for sure lol
(4) What are your favorite aspects of raising backyard chickens? Watching them grow and change so fast! And just watching them in general. They’re so funny.
(5) What are some of your other hobbies? Photography, mild sewing
(6) Tell us about your family, your other pets, your occupation, or anything else you'd like to share. Homeschooling mama of 2, photography on the side. We have two dogs, one is a bird dog who Isn’t too interested in the chickens yet and a cavalier king Charles who is obsessed. They’re still in the living room in a brooder but it shall be interesting when they go outside. I’m going to fence off the chicken area.
(7) Bonus: How did you find BYC, how long have you known about BYC, and what made you finally join our awesome community? Googling questions and it always came up. I joined because I wasn’t getting many answers to my posts on Facebook groups. You all have been super helpful and responsive already! Thank you!!
Oh I forgot to mention why I named my post Roost 66, that’s going to be the name/theme of our coop lol
