roost designs

hi all im after some ideas on what sort of timber roosts to make for chooks.
I have 15 chickens if that helps.

We cut tree branches down that were fat enough for their feet. They love them and look good being all natural.

We did wooden closet poles.

We attached them with the closet holders and them screwed them into the holder to keep them from rolling on our hens.

this is my roost I have it close off so they don't walk in it

I have straw & wood chips under but next time I clean out I think I will put sand under the roost

When I first stated chickening, I read you should use a skinny roost. About the size of a broomstick. Then I heard to go bigger cause small diameter can curl their feet. My roost is about the diameter of a baseball bat and they really like it. No feet problems or anything.
