We have 14 older hens that roost outside in the run. We have 2 heavy duty metal squared bars that fit in the chain link holes. That is where they like to roost in the evenings. Now, my problem, we have 15 13 week old teenagers that I'm ready to move in with the older hens. They live in a enclosed coop and they live in the nest boxes built into the coop. My husband and I need some ideas on how we can built a roost for them outside with the older hens. I don't want them living in the nest boxes, I believe the older hens will run them out as they get ready to lay their eggs. Anybody got any ideas or pictures of their roosts. Ideas are appreciated.
