The initial description sounded to me as if a poop board would create a low-roofed cave that chickens might like to nest in and which could be difficult to access to clean -- knowing my own limitations on cleaning out my Little Monitor Coop's back corners.

The photos clarified the layout with the generous access doors.

Thank you for all the reply's. This truely a great community and we are appreciative of the help. Should have added in original post, we are located in central washington state. We get all types of weather and lots of wind! Thats why I used the high gable vents, thinking the constant breeze/wind would move enough air. But I will keep a eye on it. I dont know if it makes any difference, but this coop we be in a 11x18 run. Once they get used to it everything we are planning on letting them free range the yard( 1acre) for a few hours a day. Thanks again!

The problem could be with how much, or, rather, how little, room is left under the poop board.

I thought you were referring to 4 foot length...
