Roost squabbling-How much is normal?

they remind me of a bunch of kids..."she's touching me!!! Moooommmm!! make her move over!!" mine are 1-2 years old and they still argue about seating! they obviously don't know the golden rule...

Last night my five Orpingtons who are now into their fourth week actually moved to their roost! Quite a surprise when I went
to their coop this morning and found them roosting. Three days ago I put a box of sand/dirt/ash into the coop and they are all
giving themselves dirt baths.
Isn't this a little young to be doing all of this? Six weeks I can see all of this happening, but at four?

Mine squabbled too for a while. I added another coop and now they don't squabble as much. I think it has something to do with pecking order. I have girls that go to bed very early in order to be sure they get their preferred spot on the pew. Just like little old ladies in church! LOL

HAHAHA So do my older girls!

And my 12 week olds.. they remind me of the Keystone Cops! I laugh myself silly (not a long trip) watching them get settled for the evening.
