Rooster abusing hens

Getting more hens rarely solves the issue. Ratios are normally for breeding purposes. Every rooster is different.

I only suggested more hens so rooster boy would lay off the two that are hiding constantly. The more options he has, the less likely he will be harassing the same ones constantly.
Or maybe he will still harass them, who knows.

What would you suggest he does?

I wasn’t saying you were completely wrong. I would suggest hen saddles or culling the rooster.

I have no advice really, I'm just wondering how old he is, and how much room they have? Although I would say getting more hens likely wouldn't hurt. More hens = more eggs.

Get more hens. a good ratio is 8-10 hens pen roo.

Or get rid of the rooster. You do not need a rooster to get eggs from the hens. The hens would be happier without him.

If you can put the rooster in a separate pen that will keep him away from the hens and they'll feel safer until they are ready to mate.
