My rooster had been in sick bay for a week.... hens were pecking his feet to blood. I have been busy working a very long way from home with little time to help out with the chickens, so my 16 y/o daughters were taking care of him for me.
(they are working off a prom dress debt....PROM its way too expensive)
Anyway, they told me that they had fed him medicated chick feed? ARGH! What will this do? Should I be worried? His feet are healed, so I returned him to his flock. Should I be worried about the fertile eggs? Eating them or incubating them? I am not sure if this medicated stuff will transfer to the egg from the rooster. Silly question I know, but I know that all ye wise chicken peeps here will be able to set me straight.
Thanks!

basically you are speaking of the amproylium in the chicken feed
and what ever he ate in the amt he ate it could not hurt the eggs either for eating or hatching

but I would not make a practice of feeding it to the hens or rooster

try and give them a
natural probiotic wet mash
2 qts of dry crumbles
4 qts of milk sweet, sour, buttermilk
1 cup of yoguart non flavored

mix and feed 3 tbsp per adult chicken
and what they eat in 20-30 minutes

then clean the wet feeder and restock dry crumbles
feed this twice a week then once a week

I did baby setting for my prom dress and as a matter of
daily chores got up at 4 am and milked 8 cows, feed and watered 500 hens and made our lunch for school to walk 1/2 mile to school all by 8AM

so your daughter is getting off cheap and will learn some good lessons for her adult life
