Rooster attacking hen

My roosters always pick on the slowest hen in the flock. I've got one old hen who's missing most of her back feathers, and spends most of her day on the roost because of it. I finally had to hobble the roosters to at least slow them down a bit.

Thank you for having a good heart and rescuing your hen. She has chosen you.
Roosters that are allowed to have long spurs sometimes injure hens while mating by accident.
Other roosters attack hens they do not like or prefer viciously and in my opinion should be culled.
But that is not your flock. Only your one hen to care for.
Did you want to be a chicken owner?
They can be some work you know. Getting away for a family vacation can be challenging at my house finding critter care.
I just took in a hen that was found in town wandering. She had been seen for the previous month eating under bird feeders. In march when we still had snow. She had some frostbite on her comb. It took about 2 weeks for my birds to accept her ( with alot of my suppervision)and now she blends right in.
Keep us updated!
