Rooster Australorp?

Hello fellow BYCers!

Can you give me your expert opinions? I bought 6 Australorp chicks back on Feb. 27th. The hatchery supposedly seed then and they were females. I think one is not. Here are a couple pics. Can she just be a fast developer?

Yes, that's a cockerel. I see saddle feathers coming in

They claimed that they were 99%+ accurate at sexing. 1 out of 6 isn't 99%+!

Some hatcheries have people who do a better job of sexing chicks than others, and getting a cockrel is always a risk from anywhere. He might be wonderful, or need to move on elsewhere. Mary

I bought sexed pullets and ended up with a roo snuck in the order. No one can sex completely accurately. There's always a chance for a rooster no matter how you order your chicks
