I received a beautiful rooster six months old an Ayam cemani.
I kept him quarantined away from all my birds and then slowly introduced him to the flock. I kept him in a large pen and allowed my other ones to inspect him. He slept in the coop in another pen at night and my two houdan boys did not like this at all. I have 30 chickens And this new guy is raising havoc in my flock. He has taken over the girls and basically put my 2 Roos in their place. There’s been no blood or pulling a feathers but he continues to antagonize my originals. I have placed in back in the pen away from everyone but it’s not fair to him because of the size. I named him Darth Vader. Is there a way that I can get this guy to acclimate to my flock without my other ones being in sheer terror. He is beautiful and And very sweet with me and easily handled.I don’t want to get rid of him. Any advice would help tremendously. Thank you shell

Roosters very often do not get the theory of 'let's all be nice and get along.' The original boys will either accept their new lower position, or step the fight.

Depending on how much tension you can tolerate, some flocks will have high tension, but no blood, some people can take that. Some flocks it will rock on like that until it flips, and major fighting can occur.

As always, space, hide outs, multiple feed bowls can help. But what you definitely need is a plan B set up and ready to go, so that if you have to separate them, you can immediately.

I would be tempted, to remove one of the older birds...see how it goes? But it sound to me like it is either Vador or the other two.
