Rooster baby?

I raised 8 chicks last spring.. all were pullets... I just got 4 new ones last week.. supposed pullets .... well, the little EE is a bit larger than the other three.. and acts quite differently. I was wondering if the little roos are bigger than the pullets? He does not appear to be older than them.. cuz the feather development is pretty exact.. any ideas... I know it’s very early but was just wondering.

Size and behavior isn't directly related to gender at this age. You're safe for now. Cute fuzz babies!

You could grab one of the chicks and pretend fight with the other...... usually the male chicks will start to fight while the females tend to avoid confrontation.

Both of my EE chicks were bigger than all the other female chicks except the Delaware. They were both bigger than the cockerel chick.

Post pics at 4-6 weeks, it should be apparent by then by comb and wattle size/color.

Okay, thanks yall!! Yea, I knew too early but was wondering if anyone had experienced something similar... I hope it’s a pullet but secretly hoping for a roo.. I don’t think I’d mind.. especially an EE roo.. as I think they are stunning!!
