My rooster gets aggressive like that with just one hen. We have 5 hens and one rooster. He will pull her feathers, hold her down by the neck, throw her to side, and has tore off pieces of her comb. From watching them I can only assume it’s because she is the only hen who does not submit to him. (And she has been laying eggs for a while now) but she will buck him off when he tries to mate, run circles around him, and she does not squat for him either. Half the time they are outside she flies over the fence to get inside the goat pen to get away from him.But, DO roosters get aggressive that way ?
