Rooster being mean to hens

If he is causing damage, either Seperate him or give him to someone who is aware of his behavior,or cull him.Certain treats cause my rooster to act off.Scratch will not be shared with anyone,he does occasionally peck hens, other then that he shares everything with them, barely eats because he is too busy feeding them.

Churchlady - so hard to give advice to someone you have not read before and do not know what aspect of operator they are, sounds like you do understand chicken society. Good luck.

Oh, I know about reading on the internet - always a dicey thing. ;-) Thank you for your words of wisdom. I really appreciate your time and thoughtfulness!

That sounds exactly like my older Ancona roo. He's a jerk to humans, but on the whole he's a pretty good roo to the girls. He's going to be rehomed with a couple of my other older girls who've stopped laying and are going to "retirement".
