So I went outside the other day to feed the chickens, and saw my Copper Maran rooster trying to breed one of my guinea hens. I pushed him off and she looked fine but I just thought it was hilarious. My rooster has lost some hens recently(to predators) so I guess he’s getting desperate :lau

this is the rooster and the male guinea. Just thought I’d share this because it’s funny. I was talking to someone at the feed store and they were concernes and that got me wondering; could the rooster possibly hurt the guinea fowl? He’s a lot bigger than they are.

Roosters can breed guinea fowl hens and the eggs can be fertile and hatch.
