My rooster last year was working great with the four hens I have him with, and leaving plenty of fertilized eggs to set in incubator. For some reason this spring he has been mounting the hens like normal but the eggs are not fertile. From what I know he is only 2-3 years old at most. Any ideas would be great, before I remove him and get a new rooster.

Try trimming excess fluff on him and the hens.
It's possible he is missing the mark, not producing sperm or the hens may be ejecting the sperm too. Hens do have control over whether they want to keep the sperm or not, so if he is not favored, then that could also be the cause of your infertile eggs.

My 6YO (Phatass) is still fertile, but he is also clumsy (short legs) and does not always hit the target. To this I point at him and laugh, he tries harder the next time,,,
I also keep other roosters for breading, so it all works out.

Thanks, I used to have another little rooster but this one would tear him up so I got rid of the little guy. So I cant have two, that's why I think I may get a new one. Just didn't understand why things where fine all last year and now nothing. I did get him fully grown from someone and maybe he was older than they told me to save him. Thanks for the information on the hens I did not know they could do that!
