Hello all we have a RIR Roo, we call him Walter. Yesterday morning he was doing fine and somewhere around mid day he started laying around a lot. We found it curious and when you tried walking up to him he tried fleeing but only moved a couple steps at a time and sat down. This morning it is no better in fact he cannot get up at all. His breathing seems a little labored but not to bad.
I was able to pick him up and check him out and see no signs of Trauma or anything (thinking perhaps a snake or something). Anyone have any ideas on what it may be? We also have one hen that is favoring her right leg for the last several days. Just hoping it is not something related and hers is truly just an injury of some kind.
