Rooster/Chickens help needed!!

Hey guys, got two quick questions first my stopped crowing out of no where but he eats the same as before secundly my chickens have not layed eggs for about 5 mounths now? i know they dont lay eggs year round but when will they start thnks

How old are these birds?
Where you located/ Is it really cold there? Are they getting plenty of light?

Edited to add - Never heard of a rooster that stopped crowing? How long has he been stopped for?

all of them are a year old yeah its been a week since the rooster stopped
