Rooster choice

I have had a number of rooster over the years and currently have a Barred Rock rooster. He is a pretty mellow fellow, maybe the most gentle temperament I've had in roosters. I really like a mellow rooster as I have had some pretty ornery guys.

Recently I got a couple of Partridge Rock hens to add to my flock and it looks like one of them is a rooster. I'm thinking of making him my new rooster of the hen house as I only do one rooster at a time.

My question is this, what are folks experiences with Partridge Rock roosters, in terms of temperament? What about in comparison with a Barred Rock rooster, who's the most mellow fellow?

In my opinion, if you already have a good mellow rooster, then stick with him. You already know how he'll act when he's the "king of the roost". If you make the new one the "king" then he MAY wind up thinking he is all that and a bag of Doritos. (attacking).
