My roosters comb is discolored and scabby. He eats well, and is acting completely normal (he’s just blinking in the first image). I’m not sure what could be wrong with him. I was thinking fowlpox, but I am not sure anymore. Is it sunburn? Or something fungal? I’m worried about him :(

also, he suffered from frostbite in the past so maybe that has something to do with it?? it’s hot this time of year but maybe something reopened from that horrible-ness, i don’t know. I really care about him and want him to be okay

Likely the hens are picking at his comb and causing sores. You can try applying some Iodine or BluKote to the wounds/scabs to get them to heal, but you may find that you need to separate him out and let the comb heal up before placing him back with the hens.

i’ll try that! i’ve never seen any of them bite him (HES HUGE) but i’ll keep an eye out for any of that. I’m spraying him with iodine on his comb, thank you! i’ll update with whether he gets better or not

I used to have a large rooster and he'd stand still and let his 2 favorite hens pick at scabs on his comb. Chickens like the taste of blood. They were doing a lot of damage and the only way I was able to get his comb to heal was to separate him out, the hens just kept pulling off any scab he had. Once healed, I put him back and they left his comb alone.

He was NOT happy being separated and I felt bad for him, but his comb was looking so bad. So, if you can avoid separation and get this to heal, all the better.
