Rooster Comb turning black!

    Our orpington rooster's comb is turning black. Is this normal? What do we need to do? Thanks in advance for your help.

    Sounds like he got frostbite. The black parts of the comb will eventually fall off. Try putting some vaseline on the comb to prevent further frostbite.

    Yeah that's frostbite for sure. I agree with Lisa202 it will fall off and needs to be treated with Vaseline.

    I agree as well, Vasaline his comb. Check every ones comb, just in case. If your worried, slather all there combs....its just a little vasaline.
