Rooster Coop?

When I went to pick up my chicks from the breeder, she had 2 or 3 roosters of all her breeds. These she housed together and swapped them over to enhance the gene pool she said. Does anyone have experience here??? If I started off young roos together, would they be ok. Then I can let all the hens free range, plus choose who I want breeding.
Oh I nearly forgot. They will be different coloured Sussex mainly.

Most folks who do controlled breeding have multiple coops/runs to keep the birds separated until they want collect fertile eggs from a certain pairing......then the chosen hens and rooster get put in a coop/run together and eggs are collected after an appropriate time.

Roosters can do quite well housed together. They do best when housed well away, out of sight and sound, from any hens because that is what can most often cause them to fight.
