So.. yeah. He had a bad infestation of lice but we were too late and after we gave him a bath with dove, he just didn’t warm up so we put him in a basket on a heated blanket with another non heated one on him and I was really wishing he would make it through the night but he just started flapping his wings suddenly and then he was gone. My mother told me it was a heart attack. He was so young and beautiful and I know it’s not uncommon for chickens to die suddenly but this was the first time one died right in front of me and I am absolutely terrified of death. I got to see his last moments, but I can’t tell if that’s a good or bad thing.

It's a good practice to be on top of the welfare of your chickens. So you can avoid situations like this.
