rooster doesn't crow

Hi just wondering at what age my rooster should start crowing? He is an 8 month old Coronation Sussex and makes absolutely no sounds at all!

Sorry I need sleep! I hope my new roo's wont crow either. That is awsome...good rooster....so what's the secret? Seriously what is your hen to roo ratio?
