Rooster doesn't dust bathe

I have a rooster who is currently infested with mites. I have used the elector PSP, and am giving him vitamins because he currently isn't able to stand or walk. He doesn't dust bathe....ever. what do I need to do to him or for him to prevent this from happening again? He's eating and drinking like normal.

He may not feel safe enough. It's his job to be on the lookout and he may not feel that he has the time. Dustbathing doesn't prevent mites. Make sure you clean out and treat your coop as well.

I didn't think about that. Yes I plan to deep clean the coop this weekend, in between rain showers ugh. Thank you

he currently isn't able to stand or walk.

If he can't stand or walk, he is unlikely able to take a dust bath by himself.
