rooster feathering question

    at what age would you see rooster's saddle feathering begin? I still don't know what my birds are. guesses have gone back and fourth. I have no pointy saddle feathers on any of my birds that i can tell. They are all 11 weeks old now.

    12 to 14 weeks is the earliest we've seen them.

    Typically it is not until they are at least 3-4 months old. The pointed feathers do not come in with the first set of feathers so cannot be used to tell sex until the birds are much older.
