Rooster foot / help.. mites, staph, bumble foot??

Very unlikely that TSC will have it. I order all of mine on line.
Got it, thank you, upon soaking his foot and inspection.. we literally just squeezed out his toenail. Had to scalpel it out. It almost looked like a snake or something bit him. I found bactrim I had from a procedure and coated his foot after we cleaned it with epsom. Farm life is all cute and fun til this stuff happens. Poor guy. It looks like his toe is rotting. Thank you from a random stranger. Really appreciate the help!

I don’t know how to update in my original post, but his toe was getting worse. The worst smell possible, looked like gangrene. We didn’t want the infection spreading, so after much research, we decided to amputate his toe. We did research, we couldn’t get a vet nearby to take chickens. Anyway, we amputated it last night. We think he has had this infection for a while. We’ve been keep it clean, have given him antibiotics, the whole works.

But, just wanted to let everyone know, he is eating, drinking, he is alert, he is moving, he is roosting, he is crowing, so I’m really hoping these are all good signs he is going to be OK. We’ve got him away from the hens. But oh my gosh, I’ve been on a rollercoaster with this rooster. 😂😭
