Rooster Green Droppings! w/Pictures, help!

I really wouldn't bother with the wazine. His poops look pretty normal, and it sounds like he is acting fine. If he were underweight, lethargic, pale, poor feather quality, etc., then I would be concerned. You might possibly stress his system by medicating unnecessarily, seeing he is older.

I agree. This poop watching...though valuable in some cases...can become a detriment if one starts to worry and obsess over the appearance of each dropping. I've seen every kind of poop imaginable all these years and I just walk on by. Strange and weird poops are just like strange and weird eggs....I'm sure they indicate something but unless it affects the general health of that chicken and it becomes visible to me, then I just ignore it. This always pays off for me in low stress, peace of mind, and flock health.

Here's a good tip...use deep litter and you won't see all the colors of poop.

Yes, it is quite a detriment. He seems to be acting normal and what not, he's eager to eat.. drinks, crow etc.etc. I think I just need to relax overall

It is giving me stress.
*Takes deep breath* Yeah, if he's acting normal and stays healthy, I'll just keep and eye out, but nothing to freak out over. Thanks!

You are doing something right, because your roo is old. You are naturally worried because of his advancing age. Enjoy all the days he has left and continue with what you have been doing with out adding drugs. Trust yourself.

This is an old post, but, my 2 cents would be that at 9 years old, he may be experiencing some intermittent failure of some kind. If he's still having poops like in the pic mixed with lime green poo on days, I'd say that's it.

I wonderwhat happened to him?
