Hello everyone!

I am new to both this page and to owning chickens and I am hoping I can get some advice and help figuring out what might be wrong with my rooster. He had been doing this weird gurgling noise for over 14 days now. I isolated him once I noticed symptoms and he has been in a dog crate in our garage since. When he first came down with this he could barely crow and was a slightly lethargic. I applied vetrx to him for about a week, and during that time I noticed round worms in his feces. I purchased the goat dewormer everyone recommended on this site and treated him during the 2nd week. I think the wormer worked since I don't see anymore, however he is still continuing to do the gurgling. He crows wonderfully loud and has a ton of energy so I'm confused as to why he is still doing this. I have also checked his mouth to see if anything could be obstructing and he doesn't have a smell from sour crop. I have noticed he does this when he is sleeping or if he's a bit stressed with me trying to grab him.The last thing I can think of is possibly giving him antibiotics but I am not sure where to find a vet that takes chickens in my area. If anyone has any suggestions or experience with this, I could really use your help.

I tried attaching a video of the gurgling noises he has been making but it wont let me upload the file. Any suggestions on how to do so?

Thank you for reading and your help. ❤️

Welcome To BYC

Upload your video to YouTube and provide a link.

Is his crop emptying overnight?
What do you feed, including treats?
How old is he?
Any lesions or canker inside the beak?

Gurgling can be from a number of things.

You mention he crows loudly, has a ton of energy - is he not fit enough to be let back outside instead of being in a cage?

Photos of poop?

Safeguard liquid goat dewormer dosing is 0.23ml per pound of weight given orally once, then repeated in 10days to treat ROUNDWORMS only.
Give the same dose for 5 consecutive days to treat other worms that poultry can have except for Tapeworms.
