Rooster has a bum foot

Afraid I am about to loose my rooster. His right foot has been swollen and tender but today he basically won't get up and is not eating. Can they tolerate any antibiotics???

hello,sorry about your roo.antibiotics shouldnt be given unless you no what the problem is.you have any idea what happened to him? do you by any chance she a brown scab looking thing in the middle of the swelling? more details would be helpful.what kind of bedding,housing,etc.?
