Photo attached of it now vs what it use to look like
I have a three-year-old rooster. He has a cyst on his waddle that has turned black and scabbed. He now is losing some feathers on that same side down his neck and on the top of his head. He has had the cyst for a year to a year and a half, we’ve never tried to cut it open or mess with it because it’s always been closed. I attached photo of what it use to looks like. We live in Michigan and I am thinking with the weather, maybe the tissue around it is dying. Has anyone ever seen anything like this? We are giving him vitamins in his water and also spray it with vertercyn every night. He is acting normal. Eating and drinking just fine. Any advice? I don’t want to open it up and cause further damage, but I’m also not sure if leaving it alone is the best idea either and maybe a sterile needle and trying to get some of the cyst out would be best
