Rooster has horrible smell

Ok so I got a hold of him and his crop feels normal, and the smell isnt nearly as bad as it was this morning. The only things that I saw wrong with him was a lot of poultry lice, which i already knew he had and i've already started treating that. He sounded a little congested but that was the only abnormal thing i saw. He's an orpington mix so he's very fluffy, but as far as I could see, there was no wound on him (besides a little cut on his foot, which was clearly not the source of the smell)
However, there's something I didn't think about before. The whole flock recently got dewormed, so it possible that the smell could be a side effect?
There is no smell after worming a flock.
"Sounding a little congested," "shaking his head," and "yawning thing," are symptoms of the onset of a respiratory disease especially with the smell. I'm thinking perhaps coryza or mycoplasma gallisepticum (MG.) Sour crop has a rotting fungus kind of smell and I hope that's what your rooster has and not a respiratory disease.
With coryza, there's a foul odor around the head area and usually facial swelling along with the other symptoms. MG is more common but there's no foul odor and his other symptoms match. It's possible he could have both diseases at the same time.
Both diseases are highly contagious.

Okay, i have him seperated but what should I do now? Like I said, his crop feels normal. Should I just put him down or is there any way to treat coryza? How can I know for sure if he has it?

Can you figure out where the smell is coming from - is it his breath, look inside his beak, spread the feathers out from around his vent, what does that look like.

Knowing what is causing the smell will tell you what your next action will be.

You also mentioned he was infested with lice and had begun treatment - what type of treatment are you using?

The smell was coming from his breath. I looked around his vent and it didn't look messy, just a lot of lice. Also I'm using poultry protecter from manna pro

Look inside his beak for any plaques, lesions or canker - any of those can have a terrible smell. It may be just sour crop, a crop can feel "normal" and still be sour.
Here's some reading for you:

Thanks but, I didn't see anything in that article about a crop still looking normal. Also, i didn't see anything odd in his mouth. For some reason, it doesn't smell as much as it did yesterday.

Are you just looking at the crop or are you feeling of it? Feel the crop first thing in the morning before your rooster eats/drinks to see if it's empty/flat. That is the best way to tell if a crop is functioning normally.

Okay, I'll wait until tomorrow morning. I did feel the crop and it didn't feel squishy or like it had a ball in it.
