I need some Rooster advice please. Our neighbor (who takes in rescue animals) brought us a little Rooster that was a rescue. He is about 8 or 9 inches from his back to the ground, and is beautiful with orange and black feathers and looks to be fully grown. He is is a large pen with one full size hen. For the last several days, he walks right next to us when we enter the pen, tonight he jumped up like he was trying to spur me! Is there any way to "fix" this kind of behavior? I really hate to get rid of him, but will not stand for that kind of behavior. Maybe this is why he ended up homeless?

That's why tons of roosters are homeless or dead...

He needs to know that you are the boss. I've had to hold mine upside down by his feet to make him learn. I know it sounds crazy and mean, but a cocky rooster can be pretty awful. He knows now that I mean business. I've not had a problem since.

Give him back to the 'rescuers'.
