Rooster+Hen= Gross eggs?

I have a rooster with my hens and we eat the eggs all the time. Can't really tell the difference unless you look closely for the bulls eye, as others have said. If the hens lay and then leave the nest, the eggs will get too chilled- even in summer- to develop.

Ditto to the rest of the posters - having a rooster hasn't changed the taste or look of my eggs in the slightest (other than a little bullseye). The benefits of the rooster are great when my flock is free ranging!
 
I dont have a rooster at present and my mother in law seems to find eggs that could be fertile all the time. I have explained that the roos are gone and the hens are all I have many times. I guess her eggs are still fertile from the roo last summer.
