Rooster holds his wings out

My new rooster holds his wings out away from his body pretty much at all times. I'm not sure if he is trying to look bigger to establish his dominance?

Some breeds look like they are doing this more then others. This is also how chickens keep cool when its hot.

He is a blue cuckoo marans. Today it was only in the seventies.

You can kind of see it in the second video. Oh & I promise I'm not laughing at him when he tripped in the hole. I was laughing at my dog rolling around in the background...it'd be just mean to laugh at him

How old is he...has he been doing it his entire life?
Is he molting?
