Ok so my is free range, highly self-sufficient, they even put themselves to bed! So I had 2 hens go broody 2 weeks apart birda and Jo.
Birda hatched her babies 6 days ago. Jo is still being patient.
Our rooster Moe is very nice and gentle helps the chicks eat and watches birda and babes, warns them ext....
Once birda's hatched though, we noticed Moe at least once a day goes in the coop and attempts to mate with Jo
Obviously she's not down and puts on a commotion.
We have 2 other laying hens that are perfectly fine I don't understand why he's doing this or what to do
