Rooster in peril

My rooster, corn flake, lost all his color. Looks white in face. Hes not active anymore and, he tries to hide in dark corners to sleep all day. Last night he didnt have enough energy to get on his roost. He just laid down in the bottom row of nesting boxes. Any ideas??? Thanks in advance.

Is he eating/drinking ?

A year old rooster should be in the prime of his life. Is there anything in the garage, such as oil spills, rat poison, hardware or string that he could have swallowed? Can you post a picture of him? You may be right that he could be dying, especially if he has a heart problem or poisoning of some sort.

It sounds like your rooster is very ill. I have one doing the same thing, not being able to jump up to a low roost for the last 2 weeks. Mine is over 7 years old. How old is yours? First I would offer him a few drops of Poultry NutriDrench, up to 3 ml daily. Also offer water up to his beak, and some watery chicken feed with a little egg added. Look him over for mites and lice, and if found, treat him with Permethrin 10 or the poultry dust. Check his legs for scaly leg mites as well. Feel of his breast bone to see if he has lost weight. Check his crop to see if his crop is empty, full, firm or puffy. Look for diarrhea and check his vent. Listen to his breathing, and look for any eye or nasal drainage. Sorry about your rooster, and I hope that you can help him.
Thank you. His poop looks fine, I did treat him for mites and the coup for mites last week. With the correct dosage. None of my othe 11 hens are having problems. He's lost some weight for sure. He wants to lay down all the time. His comb isn't fully red like normal and his face is almost white, normally red. I'll run to the feed store and get the nutridrench. Thsnks

What is on the walls of your garage? You've written he's been pecking the walls. It seems more than possible that he is ingesting something from the walls.
Maybe if you can work out what it is, you'll know whats making him ill.
Seems like the most obvious place to start looking............

I haven't figured out how to post a pic yet. Almost nothing on floor he can get into.

What are the walls made of—dry wall, plywood, painted, stained? Okay, I just read your new post. He looks like he has some very slight signs of frostbite on his comb and wattles—not enough to cause much damage, but is he getting into a warm area at night? He also has some flakey skin. So is that because he has been molting, or is it from the mites? I just want to say, that if he has mites, everyone else will need to be treated as well, at 7 day intervals to get the mites and the eggs that hatch.
