Rooster In The Hen House!

This is my first year raising backyard chicks and I am having a ball!!! I have run into a snag...my Barred Rock Betty has become "Betty-Bob"! I am so sad because I have to give him up...our neighborhood is not zoned for roosters. I checked the local classifieds and found 4 people that would take him; all want to eat him. Does anybody have any suggestions about how to find someone that would want him for anything other than food?

Its really hard to find someone who just wants a rooster for either a pet or flock guardian but not impossible. There is also a section on here under the buy/sell/trade for animals in need of re-homing.
