My young rooster Mocha is no even 2 years old yet and has been sentenced to death cause he attacked my 5 year old cousin. I love my Mocha and I don't want him killed. I want to know if attacking people is something young roosters do when they hit sexual maturity and what can I do to teach him that attacking people is wrong. Please I need help

Young kids are often targets for cockerels and roosters unfortunately.Does your cousin live with you or was s/he just visting? If your cousin only visits occasionally just keep him locked up while s/he is there. Even if you try some rooster rehab techniques do not ever trust him around your cousin again. Roosters can seriously harm young children, and while you may love him your cousin comes first.

Your bird is not young, he's been sexually mature for over a year. He's being dominant and it's not okay. Little kiddos are so vulnerable to being attacked by a rooster, it's something about the size and the fact that they move so fast. I won't keep a rooster that attacks any human, myself.

At nearly 2 he is well past his sexual prime of12-18 months. By that age a professional breeder would be retiring him for a younger one.
Next time you have a rooster you need to make sure it trained right by the time it hits sexual maturity at about 12 weeks old.
