Rooster is a dud

Set 2 doz eggs last saturday. Candled them this morning and all the eggs from my BR are duds

. Bantie eggs are good though. So now on the look for a new BR roo.

Ow well at least the sun is out.

too bad, how common is it to have a dud rooster?

Not real common. Just curious why or how you are entirely sure your roo is shooting blanks. I know a couple of my "heritage" roosters didn't start showing fertility till almost a yr old. Even now its hit or miss. I say give it some time unless you are entirely sure...

He is 4 or 5 years old. I candled the eggs this morning and no blood or growth in them.
