Once a rooster submits, do they remain submitted?

You must dominate the bird, snatch the bird and push down on it's back towards the ground and use your other hand to push it's neck into the ground (gently) You are emulating what a rooster does to the hen. Let up a bit and if the bird keeps moving do it again. Wait until the bird submits and you can let it walk away. This varies from bird to bird.

Edit: make sure you don't cut the birds airway off they are rather fragile. You can get it done without it looking like you are murdering the bird

I gave him one firm kick the day of my post. He has avoided me ever since. Meaning he stays out of my way when I am walking and has not approached me from behind at all. He also has been friendlier. Not that I am taking my eyes off him! He is a barred Olive Egger. Is more needed?
