Hello this is another question about my breeding rooster, I’ve kept many roos in my time but oh my this one is strange

I fed them kitchen scraps lettuce, peas, and sweetcorn of which they enjoyed, however I’ve just been to close them in for the night and their was a pile of sweetcorn and peas in the corner of the house,
Did her bring them inside for the hens?

Is he secretly a squirrel? 😂
What’s going on, please let me know.

Sounds more like rodents. Rats will do that. Chickens will not move or pile food.

Are you sure it's not their poop with leftover corn pieces you're seeing? I ask because chickens don't have the capability to hold stuff like a squirrel would. I could see a rooster carrying around a small frog and bringing it to the ladies but not a pile of scratch.
Most definitely not… it was a pile of corn and peas just sat in the corner.
I still don’t think it’s a rodent because it’s a 2 foot jump up through the house door. And it’s a nestera coop so their are no wholes (it’s plastic)
