Before I begin my problem with my rooster I just want to give a big thank you for my previous problem with my hen that abandoned her chick. Thank you all so much for all the advice.

So getting on with my rooster, so my rooster has been limping for quite a while now. I’ve checked both of his feet. No sign of bumble foot just a lot of inflammation on his right foot. today I saw him not being able to walk correctly, so is there any advice that you all may give me? I wrapped his foot with some tallow and some oregano oil. To relieve some of the inflammation. I have also soaked his feet run warm water with Epsom salt. Any other advice or guidance would be very helpful. I have some pictures that you all could look at.

What does the foot pad look like?

I'd soak in a warm epsom salt bath as you have to see if that helps reduce inflammation.

I would say he's got some type of infection to the foot. Check it over again really well for any signs of injury, a small pinpoint nick in the foot can allow infection in, so it may be a tiny area that's hard to see.

How old is he? What do you feed?

Thank you for your help and advice. He is a little over a year old. I feed all my birds KALMBACH chick starter non medicated. And also daily greens/lettuce/watermelon/cabbage/celery. Depends on what I have in my fridge for them to pick at throughout the day. They also have grit in one bowl, oyster in another (for the hens) , and a pecking block. I also give them scratch grains and soldier fly larvae (once maybe twice a week ) ( I hide both in their pile of bedding they have outside to give them something to do and to encourage foraging and scratching/as tools to relieve boredom.
I will look him over again today when I soak his foot. I have not seen one single sign of an injury anywhere on his foot/foot pad/leg etc. but I will triple check today.
Also, I let them out this morning. I am going to keep a close eye on him all day to see how much of the day he lays down, is he wobbling/limping/ etc. just by looking at him this morning, he is limping, but he’s walking around/cockadoodling …. So we will see. Yesterday he WAS BAD! He was having a very hard time laying down and keeping his balance.
