Mine knows if he tries to flog me I'm going to catch him .When I do I'm going to hold his head down on the ground until he totally submits. If he sits there after I raise my hand off of him I'll let him go but if he tries to run I'll hold him down a little longer.I had to spend a lot of time with this guy before he got the message.He doesn't try anything with me anymore.

My Roo is gentle as can be. The only time he sneaks up behind me is when he thinks I have treats.

Maybe if you try treats and maybe he will see you are nice too. I dont really know other than that. I wouldn't want him attacking the guests either.

Show weakness to a rooster and he'll walk all over you.(literally) Abuse him and he'll make your life miserable until you have to kill him or get rid of him. Be kind to your animals and they'll respect you.

Sometimes, unfortunately you have a bad animal. It happens with all kinds of animals. I'm kind and pamper all my animals and they're all spoiled but I ain't gonna have aggressive behavior from a critter I'm feeding and taking care of. I like the person that said we need to go back and look at the chicken and dumplings thread to remedy the rooster problem. I've got so much going on at my place I don't have time for rooster psychology

I doubt my guys would even feel a spanking lol.
They would never do anything naughty though, both are complete angels.
I'm hoping that the little dudes in the brooder right now are going to watch and learn.
I haven't had a roo that gave me a hard time since I was a kid and I don't miss it much.
