For a good part of these hot, hot days the rooster keeps the hens in the coup. If he hears and sees anything he tells them all to go in. We seem to have a lot of crows in the area and their squawking bothers the roosty. Hawks also fly overhead frequently and in they go. I know this is natural but they can't stay in the coup when its so hot. Our coup is small and I cannot leave water in it and afraid they'll get heat stroke. Also doesn't help roosty wing in injured and wondering if it has anything to do with him being so protective. thanks
