I have a double layer of fencing at the tear site, reinforced with some wood planks now. This weekend after I get paid I will get some more HC and double up all the way around to be on the safe side

I was never so disappointed as when the hw cloth I bought online for my patio arrived last year. It wouldn't be safe for a chicken coop but since its just a patio for cats I kept it. Nothings ripped it down yet which is surprising because I had to use a staple gun to attach it.Scissors cuts the mesh so this couldn't be used on a chicken coop

I've noticed a change in it also. This year, we purchased the exact same HWC from the same company we've always used and had to send it back. Hopefully @RJKnott can find the good stuff.

I found the 'good stuff' on clearance in 2021' but had to frame the roof of my run on 2 ft centers to use it. All they had was 24" wide.

Think I found where whatever it was got in.

About 4 feet up the side of the pen there is a tear in the fencing in one area big enough for a cat or small raccoon to get into. And from there a few steps through some, at the moment thanks to rain, watery mud to the area the ducks sleep at night.

Will patch it up after work and pick up a camera to set up there tonight

I'd say %100 raccoon. We had that happen to us before

Are you sure they do raccoons? The one where I used to live in Utah said raccoons are pests so they wouldn’t deal with them. You can probably guess how many exterminators dealt with raccoons.

You can relocate it. Just drive it out to the middle of nowhere that's somewhere else.
