Hope you can give me some direction on how to help Latte, my 4 yr old rooster.
a couple days ago we noticed he was walking odd, like his spurs were bothering him, they were very long. Spoke to our local farm store and they recommended twisting off the spur, please don’t judge, it didn’t bother him at all. Very little bleeding, put some corn starch on it. The next day he still wasn’t walking much, seemed like his legs were bothering him. Upon closer inspection I saw these cut or raw sections of his legs. How do I treat? I’m thinking I need to wash and clean it out real good. What can I use?

Tonight when we moved him from daytime coop to nighttime coop, I put him down by water and he was drinking. Then he stood for a few minutes and ate some corn we threw on the ground. A few minutes later he sat back down. I’m thinking I’ll leave him alone in the daytime coop all day by himself tomorrow And give him food and water and try to tend to his wounds

Thanks in advance

This is on both legs?

Looks like he has a mild case of Scaly Leg Mites too.
I would clean the crease of his leg with Hibiclens (Clorhexidine) and apply a little triple antibiotic ointment. Rub vaseline up and into the scales of the legs and feet a couple of times a week to get rid of the mites.
