Ok, so i have lost sleep on this and also spent 5 hours today rebuilding a new coop specificly for my Roo. He was given to my by some friends who had another roo that basicly kicked his tail... literly and got pretty messed up. She brought him over and within 3 min he had mated with one of my hens who was more than willing to offer and accept.... never have i seen such a thing. Anyway, months later and now we have 5 chicks from 13 eggs, all growing well and being trained by a good mother. Well, pappa is loosin his hair apparently. The neighbors thaught it was me... since he liked to attack me when i was in my garden. Well, it wasnt... i read about the hens getting addicted to his blood by cleaning him and accidentally making him bleed. This is not the case since he doesnt have any wounds on his tail. However he has one MANLY feather left.. Just one... Why are they falling off. I am worried for my Roo and want him to be ok. Any suggestions, ideas, options????

He's molting!

No worries.....

Serious... I really do hope so... I read that threat about cannabalism and was worried i would have to eat the whole lot.

Nah....all my flock are starting their molt and the roos usually use their man feathers during the molt and some feathers on the saddle and a few under the wing. My youngest mature roo lost feathers before anyone else this year....he looks sort of funny without his cock feather!

If you don't see any wounds on him or the hens have no sign of eating blood then it is nothing at all to be worried about. Chickens will peck certain spots on a bird and it doesn't necessarily mean that they are cannibalistic. It is most likely boredom...

Just sounds like he is molting.

My Beautiful Polish rooster lost all his tail feathers... And he looks really strange

But sure enough over time they will come back in and he will be as gorgeous as ever
